My heart went out to Mary who was leaving California and traveling solo to central Florida. California was on fire, there were protests and some riots going on around the country, talk of the upcoming election being taken over by Russian interference, (or Chinese), or the post office not delivering mail in ballots on time to be counted.
Added to that there were triple digit temperatures in many parts of the country, not just Florida, and hurricane season giving us Marco and Laura in the same week and headed to the same area in Louisiana/Texas. What a month or two it’s been (We won’t even mention Covid19 pandemic!
It’s been our privilege to offer a place of respite during hectic times in the lives of our traveling guests. We’re still crazy about what we do because we meet some of the best people in the world, right on our front door step! Thankfully, they like what we do, too!
