It’s a sad but true fact, we must all pay taxes and die. No one escapes. The rich, the poor, the kind, the miserable ..we all must pay taxes and die.
So after you’ve buried your loved one, wouldn’t it be nice to return “home” at the end of the day to a place that is warm and inviting rather than a corporate, cookie cuter place?
We’ve had so many folks in the last 17 years say goodbye to their loved one and then take a leisurely walk across the street from Culley’s MeadowWood funeral home and Memorial Park to come and stay with us.
They’ve sat in our conservatory, sipping some tea and telling us a story about their friend or family member, maybe someone they’ve not seen in several years, but the memories of their good times are still fresh in their minds.
It’s all part of the closure. To be able to say goodbye to someone formally, at a celebration of their time here on earth. But the informal part is also a piece of the closure. To sit quietly, and mull over their life. Laugh, cry, grieve in one’s own way before getting in a car, or on a plane, and getting back to the living of one’s own life.
Come sit at the Little English Guesthouse, it’ll make you feel a bit better on that sad day.
